Make the Change for Kidney Health

‘As we began to develop this idea the importance and emotion of this project really hit us; we’ve experienced family members undergoing similar medical treatments. It’s a heavy weight, physically and emotionally not only on them but everyone around them too. So that’s what drove this project how the family members around our character react, the heartache but also the joy when you are liberated from this deliberating disease. Capturing the dual stories was a fascinating process and we hope the campaign can assist in some small way to making a change.’

Luke & Joseph, Director, UNIT9

Make the Change for Kidney Health’ calls on governments and policymakers to recognise chronicle kidney disease (CKD) as an urgent global health issue. This new interactive film reveals a dual narrative; one reality undiagnosed and the challenges that CKD brings and one that embraces early diagnosis and the freedom that can create. The audience is encouraging to select between the two realities.
Make the Change for Kidney Health
CKD is one of the biggest public health challenges facing the world today. Yet it is vastly under diagnosed, as it is often asymptomatic until it progresses to later, more severe stages. In fact, fewer than 10% of people with CKD are aware of their disease.
